Subtle Mind

After doing the subtle mind meditation I have to say that it is far more advanced than the other meditations. At first I found my mind wanting to think on other things besides the breathing. So I just kept my focus on breathing until I was able to calm my mind. Once I reached the calming state I was actually able to follow the instructions on letting my thoughts go and experience the witnessing. I have to say that this is truly an experience I liked. When I reached the point that I could just watch my thoughts instead of being the thought, it became very calming. I surprised myself because I really was not sure if I could be the watcher instead of the actor. I liked the challenge of this meditation and look forward to advancing further.
Spiritual wellness is what gives us the ability to have mental and physical wellness.  I realize that as we connect mentally, psychically and spiritual we see a whole new realm of inner peace. Without spiritual wellness we are too caught up in our thoughts that we cannot make a connection. Once we quite our mind we can make the connection between our mental and physical state of being. This in turn brings us to the place in which we are striving to be, happy, peaceful, calm and whole.  This is just my thoughts! See you on the blog.

Loving-Kindness

Hi, again I have to say that I enjoyed the loving-kindness meditation. At first I found it a little different from what I am used to in mediation because of bring others suffering into my heart. Once I allowed myself to let go and really breathe in suffering and breathe happiness, wholeness, and love it felt very peaceful to me. I would recommend this to others that are on a spiritual path of healing only because it is a little hard to understand I think of someone just starting out. I may be wrong but that is just my belief. Over all I do like this and I will continue to do it twice a day for the week. I will let you all know my end result.
Mental workout is what we are doing here so to speak. It teaches us to expand our consciousness in order to reach our healing capacities on a deeper level. Using contemplative practice (loving-kindness) daily we can learn how to be present in the moment as well as being totally aware of how our bodies react in order to accomplish wellness- wholeness and happiness.

The Crime of the Century

Hi to all,

I have to say that I truly love this class. To have an assignment that requires us to meditate is so wonderful. Think about it, how many class have you taken that one of the requirements is to meditate so you can get your self grounded , relaxed and balanced. Most of the classes I have taken have the opposite affect. Anyway back to this . Reflecting on a scale of 1 to 10 I have to say that for physical well-being I am at a 9 because I exercise 4 times a week doing crossfit and I am a healthy eater as well. Spiritual well-being I will say is maybe 8 only because for me there is always room for improvement. I do mediate and work on healing myself daily because after losing my 22 year old son last Nov 8th I have had to do a lot of spiritual work to keep my self going.  Spiritual work for me is seeing the good in all things, having compassion, loving, laughing, and living to my fullest potential. Some days that is easier than others. On a psychological level I have to say 8 as well because I train my mind to think on positive things as much as possible. I see the cup as half full so to speak. I also believe that it is not what happens to us as much as it is how we handle it.

My goal is to help as many people as I can find peace, love and wellness so they too can experience what it feels like to be healthy mentally, psychically, and spiritually.

Love, Light & Blessings to All

Frist blog

Hi to all, this is my very first blog and I have to say so far I like doing this. I have a lot to learn about blogging but I feel it will help me to step out of my comfort zone.

Now I want to share how I feel after doing the meditation. I have been meditating for many years to help me center myself and get rid of unwanted tension . I really enjoyed the 15 minutes of meditation through sending blood to my arms and hands. This is a technique that I have nerve done and I have to say that I enjoyed it. I also want to say how happy I am that I have the opportunity to take this class. I feel if everyone did this we would all be in a much better place.

Hope you all enjoy this as much as I have.

Sending love, light and blessings to all
