Frist blog

Hi to all, this is my very first blog and I have to say so far I like doing this. I have a lot to learn about blogging but I feel it will help me to step out of my comfort zone.

Now I want to share how I feel after doing the meditation. I have been meditating for many years to help me center myself and get rid of unwanted tension . I really enjoyed the 15 minutes of meditation through sending blood to my arms and hands. This is a technique that I have nerve done and I have to say that I enjoyed it. I also want to say how happy I am that I have the opportunity to take this class. I feel if everyone did this we would all be in a much better place.

Hope you all enjoy this as much as I have.

Sending love, light and blessings to all
Barbara

  1. Hello Barbara,
It's nice to meet someone with positive experiences with meditation! I hope, with more practice, to be able to achieve success, as well. For me the difficulty isn't finding the place or time, but rather, being able to clear my mind of clutter and distractions. I agree, if more people would try to seek inner calm, life could be so much more pleasant.

    1. Hi Dan, I have to say that I use to think like you that I needed to stop the clutter in my mind in order to meditate. I learned that we do not have to stop the minds thoughts but we have to just allow them to run through our minds. In others word when a thought comes to your mind just let it run through without giving it any power. Then go back to the breath and put your focus on your breath and become aware of how your body feels inwardly. Each time your mind has a thought just let go and bring your attention back to your breath. With practice you will be able to relax and your thoughts will slow down. I always have thoughts running through my mind but I have learned how to just let them flow and not give power to them. Sometimes it is not so easy but the breath will help to bring you back to focus. Let me know if you try this if it helps.

  2. Hi, Barbara. I found it interesting to find out that you have quite a bit of experience with meditation. This is good because you have prior knowledge as to what we were getting into. You seem like a very happy, upbeat individual from your post and I personally hope to achieve this level of conscious thinking soon. I look forward to reading your future blogs and it is nice meeting you.

  3. Hi Tyler, Taking this class is fun for me. I have been on a spiritual journey for many years. Meaning I have been searching for inner peace and happiness that is created from this inner peace for many years. I have listen to many mediation tapes through out the years and still do. At first this was not easy but I stuck with it until it became easier. Now it is second nature to me. Just stick with it and it will get easier and easier till you reach that state of peace. As we all know life does not give us the peace we want unless we work at it our selves. See you on blog!
